Unit 8 My favorite exercises

I really enjoyed the subtle mind and meeting aesclepius exercise. In the subtle mind exercise it had the sound of the ocean and had you focus on your breathing. I really enjoy listening to soothing sounds and feel that it is easy to implement this into my personal life. You can download so many different types of soothing sounds that you can sit and meditate while focusing on your breath. When you are able to focus on your breath you are able to let go of any stress and helps you feel refreshed.

The meeting aesclepius was my favorite exercise because it helped me realize the importance of prayer and trying to live more like Jesus. This is a great exercise for anyone who has someone they look up to.  Thinking about someone who you look up to can help you to feel motivated and to want to do better and be better in life. I can implement this exercise by just taking time out to read my bible and pray. For me this helps me to have loving words, loving thoughts, and a loving heart.

I would suggest these two exercises to anyone because I feel they are easy to do and are easy to get into. I feel that these two exercises are easy to connect to and to relate to, so this makes people want to continue to practice meditation.

  1. I didn't have a wise person to visualize other than Jesus so I can totally relate to your post. I think people that have real fathers to look up to and are actually a good role model are blessed and I wish that was my situation as well. However, I feel just as blessed to know Jesus on a level that allows me to interact with Him and look to Him for advice, comfort and answers. It's not about religion, it's about relationship, something many people miss out on.
